Offering guests camper cabins and numerous tent sites, Zion River Resort is an excellent Zion Park Camping headquarters. Providing more amenities than other campgrounds near the park, we have a pool, a hot tub, a game room, a playground and a social hall with a surround sound theater for our guests’ enjoyment. Your Zion Park camping accommodations at Zion River Resort are only 13 miles from the park entrance, providing easy access to Zion Canyon’s amazing scenery, which includes sandstone monoliths that tower 2,000 to 3,000 feet above the canyon floor. The most popular activity for our camping guests is the canyon’s many hiking trails, which range from a four-mile ascent to Observation Point, a superb top-down view of the canyon, to the ¼-mile jaunt to Weeping Rock, a spectacular hanging garden caused by constant water seepage through the porous sandstone. The ride to your desired trailhead on the Zion Canyon Shuttle is an enjoyable experience as well, providing a preview of the canyon’s scenery and background information on its geology, history and wildlife. You cannot go wrong on your Zion Park camping trip when you explore Zion Canyon.
While Zion River Resort serves as a wonderful Zion Park camping location, it is also an excellent base camp for day trips to the region’s other breathtaking national park areas, including Grand Canyon National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Cedar Breaks’ natural amphitheater filled with colorful rock spires and pinnacles is only 70 miles north of our resort. Snow Canyon State Park and Red Cliffs Recreation Area, two spectacles of southern Utah’s red rock scenery, are both less than an hour away. When you make us your Zion Park camping headquarters, incomparable scenery other than Zion is close by.
